Camp GesheЯ is the only overnight camp in North America designed especially for campers from Russian-speaking Jewish families. Camp GesheЯ summer camp is for campers entering 3rd through 10th grades, with a CIT program for entering 11th and 12th graders.

  • An innovative educational program, focusing on Russian-Jewish culture, Jewish traditions, and Israel through a non-religious lens
  • A friendly and familiar cultural atmosphere
  • Advanced skill-building programs such as dance, drama, photography, arts and crafts, team building, and ropes course
  • Recreational sports activities including swimming, archery, sports, horseback riding (5th grade and up), mountain biking (6th grade and up), and more

  • Camp GesheЯ also offers family camp weekends, family holiday programs, and seasonal camps.

Camp GesheЯ is a partnership initiative of Shalom Institute and the Jewish Agency for Israel. Additional funding is provided by the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles.

We gratefully acknowledge the significant gift from the Russian-speaking Jewish community of the SF Bay Area. This support provides scholarships and additional travel subsidies for Camp GesheЯ campers from Northern California for Summer 2022 and 2023.
